Begin with the backlog
Tell us the last reconciled month and which statements are available. If you do not know where the books stand, say so. We can discuss an initial review before promising a completion date.
Work through the agreed periods
Catch-up bookkeeping focuses on missing or unfinished months. That can include organizing transactions, reconciling accounts, collecting explanations, and preparing reports for the covered period. A software cleanup issue may need attention as part of the same plan.
Make room for questions
Receipts, customer records, and loan documents often explain entries that a bank description cannot. Keep a running questions list and agree on how you will respond. The time required depends on both the volume and the condition of the records.
Coordinate with tax filing
SV offers tax filing as well as bookkeeping. If a return or notice is time-sensitive, mention it immediately so the owner can assess the situation and confirm the available scope. Do not assume that a catch-up project itself completes a tax filing.
